So, I've played the Rogue2Carbon E since it was first available. As often happens, someone will try mine and not want to return it! I did manage to keep one in the rotation for about 18 months, treating myself to a new one only when someone "kept" mine. I've found all the R2Carbons to be very consistent, even after hours and hours of play over months. Usually when I get a new one in my possession, I find I can switch between the "older" one and the new one without a thought...they are just that consistent.
As some folks know, I play my paddles around 9-9.2oz, so I'm usually adding lead tape from the hips to shoulders to achieve this final weight.(Players has sent me paddles that are on the higher end of spec...or even a little heavier).
This Ultra came in at 8.5 and I'm playing it at this weight. Somehow, the impact feels like a heavier paddle; but without the extra weight added. It is even more solid and plush than my earlier E models...not that it was needed!!!
This is a super cool "improvement" for those who can handle a little extra weight and want maybe the most solid-feeling paddle around!!!
Really great paddle and this is just another example of the great products coming from Players!!!
